National Charity Inaugurates Orphan Care Center in El Meniaa

In a deeply moving humanitarian scene that reflected the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility, the Wilaya of El Meniaa witnessed a landmark event on Saturday, October 4, 2025, with the inauguration of a new Orphan Care Center affiliated with the Kafil El-Yatim National Charity Association. The opening ceremony was held under the supervision of Mr. Ben Malek Mokhtar, Wali of El Meniaa, alongside Mr. Ali Chaouati, President of the Association’s National Office.
The ceremony was attended by members of the security committee, Members of Parliament, executive directors, representatives of the national and provincial offices of the association, as well as a number of notable figures from El Meniaa. The atmosphere was filled with pride and joy at the realization of this important humanitarian achievement.
The newly opened center represents a significant addition to the region’s social infrastructure. It will provide care for a considerable number of orphaned children across the various municipalities of the wilaya through comprehensive psychological, educational, health, and recreational programs. These services aim to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters healthy development and instills hope for a brighter future.
In his address, the Wali of El Meniaa praised this humanitarian accomplishment, commending the pioneering role played by Kafil El-Yatim in supporting orphans and widows and in promoting a culture of charity and solidarity within Algerian society. He emphasized that such projects “embody the authentic values of the Algerian community and reinforce the state’s efforts in the field of social care.”
For his part, Mr. Ali Chaouati, President of the National Office, expressed his profound gratitude to all benefactors and supporters who contributed to turning this project into reality. He reaffirmed the association’s commitment to expanding similar initiatives across different wilayas of the country, with the goal of ensuring comprehensive care for every orphan in Algeria.
Meanwhile, Mr. Abdelwahab Belkhal, President of the Provincial Office of Kafil El-Yatim in El Meniaa, expressed his great happiness with this achievement, describing it as “a source of pride for all members of the association in El Meniaa.” He noted that the opening of the center “reflects the association’s faithfulness to its humanitarian mission and its continuous efforts to provide meaningful services to orphans and widows, ensuring them a dignified life and a promising future.”
The ceremony concluded with the association, on behalf of all its members and volunteers, extending sincere thanks and appreciation to all donors and supporters whose generosity made this center a reality. The association also called on everyone to continue supporting this noble journey one that creates hope and brings smiles to the faces of orphaned children.
